Adventureland Youth Rally

Its that time of the year again! The Adventureland Youth Rally is upon us! Cost per person this year is $21.00 - You can turn your money into Steve and Joann Hubbell, or Chris and Sarah Largent. Money is due by Wednesday night, May 1st. Make checks payable to Walnut Park Baptist Church. INVITE YOUR FRIENDS!!! It's an awesome day and BONUS!....they will hear the gospel! It's less than a month away so get out there and invite, invite, invite!

"Spring" break huh?

Hey everyone! So how is your "Spring" break going so far? Who knew you could go sledding while on spring break?

This post is to let you know that yes, we ARE having youth group on Wednesday, March 13th. "Spring" break or not....we'll be there. Maybe we'll do some "springy" things to make it feel more like spring for ya. Although it is going to get warmer soon. Anyways...hope to see you there!

Good news/Bad news

GOOD NEWS - We had 9 visitors come to youth group in the last 2 weeks! Each night the GOSPEL was presented! So proud of the teens for inviting other teens to youth group!

BAD NEWS - The record wasn't broken. We had 27 the first night and 23 the next. However, if everyone had been there at the same time we would have had a total of 31 teens...which is awesome!

GOOD NEWS - You have a youth pastor who is very proud of you guys for bringing that many visitors... so ....we are still gonna have the party!.... but it can't be until March 6th. Next Wednesday the 20th is the Awana Grand Prix night. We will still have youth group, but a lot of the teens and even some of the leaders like to watch the Grand Prix so there may not be as many teens in the youth room.....but if you still want to come to youth group that's great! Then Pastor Jake and Loren will be gone on the 27th.... but again.... we will still have youth group!

BAD NEWS - Since the record wasn't officially broken....the beard has been trimmed! It would have been fun...and funny...but it was only gonna happen if the record was broken. :( for you. :) for me! haha...

GOOD NEWS - Winter meltdown is tomorrow! Be praying for a safe trip, an awesome time of fun and spiritual growth, and for teenagers to be saved!!!

Fear the Beard!

This thing is coming off one way or another VERY SOON! :) This Wednesday.....in 2 DAYS....is the last chance to break the attendance record of 33. If it happens....the beard is gone, but you get to choose what gets shaved off. If the record isn't broken, then I get to shave it how I want to...either way....it's coming off! So itchy! :) EACH OF YOU HAS TO INVITE FRIENDS TO COME!!!! We had 4 visitors last week and 27 in attendance....while that's pretty sweet, that's not enough! We need more! Don't be shy, don't be embarrassed...they are coming to hear the good news of salvation, which is the ultimate reason to bring them in the first place! The beard thing...that's just for fun, but inviting friends to church is a seriously awesome thing! Seeya Wednesday!

It means that there is absolutely nothing that happens in the universe that is outside of God’s influence and authority. He is in complete control! Enjoy the song! School Cancelled = Youth Group Cancelled. :(

Well....we'll have to try to break the record next Wednesday. Sorry if you had invited some friends to come. We'll just have to get them to come next Wednesday! Maybe this week's cancelled youth group will be just what we need to have more time to invite more friends! Yeah! There we go! :) Staying positive! 

If you have nothing going on this Sunday morning, we will be meeting for Sunday School at 9:30am. It's just like youth group, just without songs, games, and snacks. Whoops...when I put it that way it sounds bad! But it's actually pretty fun. We learn from God's Word, but we have fun at the same time. Just ask the teens about the crossword puzzles, or the poems. They'll know what that means. :) This week we have another fun thing planned. You should come check it out. We meet in the same room as we do on Wednesday nights.

Winter Meltdown is just 16 days away! Hopefully you're getting excited for it! Hey! We may even have snow up there! That would be nice!

RECORD breaker TIME is HERE!!!!

Hey teenagers!!! Didja know that this Wednesday is the first chance to break the old attendance record of 33? Yes it is! Here are 5 reasons to try and break the old record:  #1 - You'll get a Pizza Party  #2 - You get to make Pastor Jake's face look funny (more than usual).  #3 - You get to tell people that the record was broken when you were in Youth Group!  #4 - Your friends will see how awesome Youth Group is!  #5 - Most importantly...your friends will hear the GOSPEL!  So go an INVITE AS MANY FRIENDS AS YOU CAN!!! Game Night!

YOUTH GROUP GAME NIGHT on Saturday Night, Januray 26th, from 6:30-8:30 here Walnut Park Baptist Church. We will be playing games in the gym, board games, video games, and whatever other game we can think of! Wear clothes to run around in, bring some friends along, and look forward to a fun night together! If parents will allow you, maybe we can all run over to McDonalds for an ice cream.
