See You at the Pole a Success!

Woohoo! What an awesome time around the flagpole this morning. Singing, Listening to a message from God's Word, and spending time in prayer were just a few things that we did this morning. It's cool to see teens not be ashamed to come out and pray publicly. Other students are literally walking right by as we are singing and praying. It was pretty cool. Walnut Park was represented well: Daylan, Scott, Halie, Heather, Alexis, Jenny, Joann, and Pastor Jake were all in attendance. Praise the Lord for a public platform and an open door to have a ministry like See You at the Pole. Thanks for praying for the morning. It was awesome!

Kick-off night this Wednesday!

This Wednesday night, September 28th, our youth group will be kicking off the new Word of Life Student Ministries year at Walnut Park Baptist Church! We will have a fun opening night filled with games, activities, food, and an introduction to the new and improved material from Word of Life. Each student will need to purchase the student lifelines pack for the year. The cost per pack is $22 which includes a quiet time journal, a book of stuff (notes and things), and a memory verse packet. It should be a great year! See You at the Pole

This Wednesday at 7 a.m. at the Muscatine High School flagpole. The theme this year is converge, which means to come together to form a single product. What a cool definition. Teens from different churches will be coming together to form a single product, the body of Christ. Pray for a great turnout and for God's blessings!

Hayrack Ride and Bonfire a hit!

Wow! What a great turnout! There was a huge group of people there and it was a blast! Thanks everyone for coming and praise the Lord the rain stopped in time to have a ton of fun! We enjoyed a nice time around the fire eating and listening to some awesome testimonies of salvation! Thanks everyone for being willing to share! Special thanks to Rod and Rhea for their hospitality! Seeya next year!

Allen's Hayrack Ride and Bonfire SATURDAY!!!!

Hey y'all! This Saturday is the Hayrack Ride and the Bonfire at the Allen's farm. Meet at the church at 4:30 pm if you need a ride or directions. Bring a package of hot dogs, a jacket, and a blanket if you want for the hayride. The hidden words are John Deere. It should be fun! Pray for good weather!
