Congrats Seniors!

Anthony Wright and Leigha Phillips will be graduating this Sunday afternoon! Leigha and Anthony are the last members of the youth group who were here as freshmen when Pastor Jake first started as youth pastor almost 4 years ago! They have been actively involved in the youth group, we were able to see Anthony get saved and grow a ton! We have watched Leigha bring more friends to church than anyone in the last 4 years! They will be missed, but we know God has great things planned for their lives!

Advice to Anthony and Leigha: Be faithful to God, remember what you have learned, serve Him like you did on the mission's trips, Love Him, and follow His leading in your lives. Be faithful to church, love people, read your Bible, pray, and trust in the Savior. Do these and God will richly bless your lives as you follow Him!
God bless you guys and once again...CONGRATS!!!

Friends, Part 2

Hmm...Friends, Part 2....whatever could that mean? Well let me tell you!!! Tonight we are going to look into the 2nd part of our "friends" study. We will here a testimony from an individual who had struggled dealing with peer pressure, but with the help of the Lord Jesus Christ was able to overcome it and then be a testimony for Jesus Christ. Peer pressure is something that everyone deals with no matter what stage of life you are in, but God always promises help in the time of need. Then we will look into Psalm 1 for some godly wisdom about how to choose good friends. Hope to see you there!

When they hurt, we hurt...

This morning, Daniel and Hayley Novak are grieving the death of their precious little baby boy, Gabriel. They are hurting today and when they hurt, we hurt. Daniel and Hayley have served as Jr. High leaders for many years. They have ministered to many teens and now it is our time to minister to them. Please pray for them. Pray that God will give them strength, peace, and answers to so many questions. It's never easy to lose someone, especially someone so close to you and so young. Yet, we know that Gabe is in heaven. 2 Corinthians 5:8 says "That to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." It brings some sense of peace knowing that Gabe has seen the very face of Jesus, the one who gave His very life for us all, but he will be missed dearly. The what could have been's, and the why's are so many, but Daniel and Hayley are trusting the Lord. Pray for them, and also pray for Jacob and Cambria too.

Daniel and Hayley, if you read this, we love you guys, we ARE praying for you.
